Emmanuel college comprises the on-going St Paul's campus and the co-educational Notre Dame campus at Point Cook from 2008. The development of the new campus is supported by the inspiring tradition, powerful resources and strong community links of the existing campus.
Learning involves constructing knowledge. At Emmanuel College students extend, elaborate, recognize and reflect upon their knowledge, while building on previous learning. They learn how to learn, to think and to communicate their knowledge. They develop and refine their literacy and numeracy skills particularly through English and Mathematics and gain extensive knowledge in the key discipline areas of the Arts, Science, the Humanities and Languages.
Students are supported in achieving their personal best in meeting the challenging standards and high expectations of the college. The teaching-learning process aims for deep understanding and is supported by a rich environment of Information and Communication Technologies.
Emmanuel College provides a challenging, authentic and inclusive educational environment that encourages life- long learning. Individual student needs are the central focus in improving student progress in Multiple Intelligences: linguistic, reasoning, visual, musical, emotional and environmental.
At Emmanuel College students experience a broad curriculum in their Junior years, followed by selected subjects in their senior studies, in preparation for post-secondary options at University, TAFE, apprenticeships or entry to the work-force.
As specialists in the education of boys we are able to offer engaging and stimulating programs which support students both in achieving their academic potential and their growth as persons.
